Cartoons

Before I get started, I just wanted to say that I never got into the Disney Channel. I used to wake up to it on school mornings and watch a couple of cartoons, but I never watched it after school.

Also, my girlfriend helped me out with this post because she's better at ranting than I am. :P We agree on all of this, though.

I don't watch cartoons much anymore. It's not because I don't like them, because I still like to watch some cartoons that I used to watch. It's because a lot of them just plain stink nowadays. :P I've tried watching some lately, and I just couldn't get into them. They weren't funny or interesting or anything like that.

I guess I'll start with Nickelodeon. That was the channel my girlfriend and I always used to watch for a while. I remember even in the beginning there were shows that I didn't like. There were more that I did like than what I didn't, though. That was until The Wild Thornberries came out. That was the first bad show to come out in a while then. Well, it was kind of good at first, and it's not a bad idea for a show, but it just wasn't played out very good. All That started getting worse around that time, too. It was getting rid of some of the funnier people from that show, especially Keenan and Kel.

My girlfriend and I still watched it a lot, though, but we usually turned off the TV and did something else while those two shows were on. We kept watching it until one other show came on, though. Rocket Power. Now that one is one of the worst cartoons that I've seen. I understand why it was made because I know some people were able to relate to it, since those extreme sports were getting real popular and all that. I never cared for them, though, but I still thought the show was stupid. I didn't like how those kids were basically about the best in the world at just about everything they did, and that's all they did was sports stuff. It wasn't interesting at all. Also, maybe except for the kid with the glasses, none of the characters were really interesting. I don't even know why it was called Rocket Power. I thought at first that it would be about rockets and space and stuff. :P Maybe that's what it should've been about. My girlfriend likes Sci-Fi lots, so that would probably interest her.

That was about the time we quit watching Nickelodeon, mainly because Rocket Power was horrible, but The Wild Thornberries and All That getting worse were also reasons. I haven't watched it much since then, but usually once a year, I'd check back on it to see if the show I was watching was any good, or if I heard about a show, I'd try and watch it. There was nothing good that came out through all of that time, even nowadays (maybe except Spongebob Squarepants, but I didn't watch it much). The worst show I saw is that El Tigre show. It's not as bad as Rocket Power was, but it was close.

But now I want to talk a bit about Cartoon Network. Cartoon Network is better overall than Nickelodeon, because for a while they never had a bad show, and even though most of them aren't good now, there is at least one good one which I think is cute. The Mr. Men Show. I always liked those old Mr. Men books, and I like this show a lot, too. So cute. ^_^

Anyway, it not only had more good shows, the shows that were good were a lot better than most of the shows on Nickelodeon. Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy is still one of my favorites (I even saw the movie!). :) Even that show got worse ever since the characters on it went back to school, but it was still kinda funny.

The first stinker was The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. It wasn't a bad idea, and I liked the pilot episode, but it got old and stupid after a few episodes. The character's personalities started to get way out of proportion, such as Billy becoming more stupid as it went on. That and I didn't like Mandy. She was a meanie-butt. :P

But that wasn't nearly as bad as Kids Next Door. There was nothin good about that show at all. The characters were boring (though number 3 was cute sometimes ^_^) and the show seemed like it was trying to be funny when it wasn't. I didn't laugh throughout the whole first season, and not even for the pilot episode. The show was almost as bad as Rocket Power and El Tigre. It was a good idea for a show, but the person who created it just didn't do a good job on it. Oh well.

Anyway, I still love cartoons. I still love watching all of the old ones I used to watch. I get nostalgic like that a lot, and I'm glad my girlfriend doesn't mind that I still like some kid stuff. At least, I'd like more of it if it was better. It seems all they do know nowadays is use stereotypes (El Tigre) and use the same jokes (Chowder) nowadays. I hope that changes soon.

P.S. I may be posting about Total Drama Island soon. I didn't watch every episode, but I feel like posting about it anyway. Also, my girlfriend got an idea from my idea to post about Drawn Together. Yay, two animated reality shows! Of course, she had to take the nastier one. :P She would've chosen that one anyway because she said she has more to say about it.

This is so embarrassing ^///^

I wanted to Google my name to see if my blog came up as a result yet. It wasn't there. :(

I did find something that was funny at first, though. Check the fifth result if you Google my blog name.

I said it was funny at first because of my blog name being the same and I read on the front page something about a massage. Then I learned after browsing a bit that I think it was a brothel house or something like that. It made me sad. :( I wonder what those girls think and how they feel.

Ed, Edd, and Eddy's Big Picture Show

~*!Spoilers ahead!*~

My girlfriend and I have been watching Ed, Edd, and Eddy ever since the show started, although we haven't seen every episode. It's one of our favorite cartoons, and when we heard about a movie being made, we were surprised, especially because we heard we'd finally get to see what's under Edd's hat. Sadly, you don't. :( Don't worry, though. I think you can see it if you win a flash game playing as him. I think it's the food fighting game. It's fun, so I would suggest playing it anyway. :)

You do, however, get to see Eddy's big brother. If you do a search, you can see a picture of him, so you don't have to see the movie to see him.

As for seeing the movie, my girlfriend and I saw it in parts on Youtube. We did because I heard it hasn't showed on TV in America yet, and nobody knows when or if it will. So, if you really want to see it, that's my suggestion for doing so for now. And don't worry, it's in English. ;) The only problem is that, from every version of the end credits that I've seen on Youtube, some stupid commercials play over the last part where Johnny is talking about . . . well, something in his fort. You can't hear him. :(

As for the actual movie, I would suggest watching it if you're a big Ed, Edd, and Eddy fan. One reason is because, and I'm not sure, but I heard that it's considered the "final episode" in a sense. I think I heard there was supposed to be one more season (after that supposed final episode), but they decided to do a movie instead. Either way would've been better than that last episode. That wasn't a bad episode, but it wasn't good for a last one. As far as the movie goes for a finale, it was one of the best ways to do it for sure! The Eds, because of Eddy's brother being a big jerk, are finally accepted among all of the other kids in the cul-de-sac. Since the Eds are accepted, another person takes over as the outcast: Johnny. Him becoming the outcast was a misunderstanding, but if another character really had to replace the Eds as the outcast, Johnny was definitely the best choice. I don't think anybody should be an outcast, though, and everyone should have explained to Johnny what happened.

But overall, this movie was the best way to end the series. If there's ever more Ed, Edd, and Eddy, then I still welcome it with open arms and hug it, but I hope they have a good final episode this time. It will still be one of my favorite shows ever even if it's not, though. ^_^

Yay, I finally have a blog! ^_^

With my first blog post, I'll tell you a little about myself. First, I'd like to note that I am bisexual, and am in a relationship with a girl. She has a blog, too, and she even mentioned that I might make one. Now I did! I'm following her blog now. You'll notice my name is "Not Telling," and my girlfriend's is "Who Cares." We just don't want to reveal our names, that's all. :P Anyway, here's her blog: http://redheadmetalhead.blogspot.com/ Oh, and I love you, too, sweetie! ♥

Like the name of my blog suggests, I'm a very lovey dovey person. I like to give lots of random hugs. Not to everybody, but at least some people, like my girlfriend or my parents. My girlfriend thinks it's cute whenever we just sit next to each other and I hug her at the least expected moment, even if she's in the middle of a sentence talking about a video game or something. Yeah, we're both geeks, haha. We're geeks in different ways, though. I'm not a big fan of anime, but I like it. She hardly watches or reads any of it. She likes Horror movies, but I can hardly watch them without her. I'm a scaredy cat sometimes, haha! :P There have even been a couple of times when I've cried after seeing something that was really scary. The movie Alien is one I remember clearly. My girlfriend even showed me Dead Alive, telling me it was funny, but I didn't find it funny much. Just scary. She wants me to see it again, but I don't know. :(

Anyway, my girlfriend can be lovey dovey, too. She's more a of a tomboy, though, but she loves giving lots of hugs, too. She likes to kiss more, though. :P She's usually a softie, but she can be pretty tough. We're both pretty smart, but I'm a lot better at Math and she's a lot better at English. I even asked for her to edit my posts for me whenver I posted. I can write okay, but sometimes I get confused or I mess something up, haha. She let's me keep my smileys and laughs because she thinks it's cute, though.

My girlfriend and I have planned on getting married since we were about ten or so, but I guess we'll have to move to a state that would allow us to get married. My girlfriend is thinking about Iowa because she thinks her cousin moved there, too, and because she knows that they don't plan to change their laws for a long while. As of right now, though, we need to stay here and finish up some things, like college. My girlfriend's been having a hard time because she got lots of bad grades last semester and now she's under 2.0 grade average. I know it wasn't her fault. She got two bad teachers, and she just didn't do well in one other class. Had it just been that one class, she'd still be okay. One of the classes was something she was good at, and she was in it with a friend of ours who was in it, too. They were both doing well, but the teacher screwed up on homework assigments or something and they both got a bad grade. The other teacher was kind of strict or unfair to projects otherwise. He'd criticize something without thinking his criticisms through beforehand. Like, she'd provide proof for something and he'd still ask for proof. She had another teacher like him before, but she got past her somehow.

My girlfriend is a Metalhead. She likes to listen to Thrash Metal, which is really fast stuff. It made my head hurt at first, but I've gotten used to it. I'm not too into, but it's still amazing to listen to. I'm mainly into Alternative Rock. Even so, our favorite band is Rush by a long shot. We've been listening to them since we were little, and we now have all of their albums. Our favorite album of theirs is Signals. I love to sing a lot of their songs. I've even done karaoke at our college, and it seems that a lot of people like to hear me sing. I remember I even got a standing ovation once. That was neat, but it also made me blush. Even if people booed me and didn't like my singing, I'd still sing, though. I just like to sing, I always have. I'd even perfom in front of my parents and my girlfriend a lot.

Right now, I want to cuddle with my girlfriend and watch a movie with her. I don't know which one, but I just want to, and she'll watch almost anything with me, even if she thinks that it's going to be terrible. In fact, sometimes she likes to watch bad movies for laughs, or to rant on them later. She rarely stops a movie if it's bad enough, but she's done it before. She did it a couple of months ago when we were watching The Arrival II after watching the first one. The first one was pretty good, but I understand why she stopped the second one almost mid way. I almost fell asleep until my girlfriend got up and took the disc out. She kind of did the same thing with Twilight. She read it until about two chapters in. She said, "That's it," then shut the book shut, slammed it on the floor, and yelled, "God damn it, this book fucking sucks!" She didn't yell too loud, but it still kind of scared me. :( She isn't usually angry, and I think she was over exaggerating for humor. She knows that it makes me laugh sometimes. I think the most recent one of all, though, was when she bought a used copy of Turok: Evolution (the one for Playstation 2) for just a couple of bucks. It bored her after a few levels, that and the pterodactyl levels annoyed her to the point where she used a cheat code to skip them. Even then, the game bored her after a short while. She just turned it off and took the game out.

Speaking of playing, my girlfriend and I like to still unleash our inner children. We still like to play with toys that we've had since we were kids, and even sometimes get more. We also like to go to play on playgrounds. I don't like the merry-go-round much any more, though. My girlfriend is really strong and it makes me dizzy whenever she pushes. @_@ There was one night I almost barfed and my girlfriend was right by me the whole night to take care of me. Such a sweetie pie! ♥

Ooh, I almost forgot. I want to cuddle with my girlfriend and watch a movie! Or at least cuddle! ♥ Sorry if I rambled, but I was just typing whatever was on my mind. Anyway, I hope to be posting more soon. Bye bye, everyone! Hugs for all! ^_^
